Everyone has a story to tell about life and about love. My grandparents, George & Sybil Borders, married each other in Deland, Florida on March 25, 1961. Luckily, my great uncle captured some of it on his 8mm film camera (video above). Every now and then I sit down with my grandparents to relive the moments of their wedding day. When we watch, without missing a beat, my grandfather gasps when he sees his beautiful bride walking down the sidewalk behind her bridesmaids. The moment is incredibly special for them, but even more so for their grandchildren.
What a legacy they have passed down to us. The significance of seeing my grandparents on video in radiant love at 20 years of age is something I can’t put words to. We want the same for you. Your wedding story is about more than just a day, it’s about a lifetime commitment of love. It’s also about a legacy, passed down to the next generations reminding them what is truly important in life. Your story is worth telling and we want in on it!
We met back in high school and began dating the summer of 2011. What a summer. We were young, pretty weird, and curious, but we fostered a relationship built on trust, sacrifice, and love. Along the way, we've learned how important storytelling is, but also how ineffective it can be without love. That is why we value everyone's story, but especially the love stories. What can we say? We really do love Love! And our relationship has been strengthened by others' love stories so much that we want to provide the same for you in the most beautiful and creative way possible. When we’re not telling stories you’ll find us either on St. Teresa Beach, eating our way through new cities, watching Parks & Rec., or hanging out with friends over tacos.
At Foraged Films, our dream is to provide you with the most perfect memory for your life-long marriage, not just your wedding day. We don't want clients, we want friends, who we can do life with! And 10 years down the road, we want you to get goosebumps, be energized, and feel that nervous excitement you had the day you said "I do" forever.
